Claridon Township is located in northeast Ohio. The weather includes a definite mix of all four seasons. January brings in sub-zero temperatures and much snow. Claridon is very close to Punderson State Park, where families are often found sled riding and snowmobiling. Also, in the neighboring township of Munson, one can go skiing at Alpine Valley Resort.
In February, many Claridon residents are getting ready--collecting sap to make maple syrup--for the annual Geauga County Maple Festival. In spring, residents pull out the bikes and go biking on our local bike path. Claridon also has several parks--Claridon Township Park and one within Aquilla Village--and several others within the Geauga Park District.
The summer is hot with temperatures reaching 90+ in July and August. Before Christmas, Claridon is sure to see snow, usually more than once.
